The Geometry of Attention

Documentary photography by a Breton traveler and photographer.

This series proposes a quiet exploration of human attention as it surfaces in the flow of everyday life. Rooted in a documentary approach, the work resists spectacle, pausing instead at fragile instants - moments when a look emerges without intention or defense, brief yet revealing.

Here, looking becomes less a subject than a force: a line of tension, an invisible axis around which meaning gathers. Each photograph traces a subtle geometry of presence, mapping fleeting relationships between people and the spaces they momentarily inhabit.

The images invite reflection on seeing as both document and metaphor - a trace of being there, a brief encounter between photographer and subject, stranger and stranger. These moments suggest narratives without resolving them, allowing ambiguity and silence to persist, and leaving room for the viewer’s own projection.

What unfolds is not a collection of portraits, but a cartography of attention - a passage through shared instants, shaped by presence rather than place, and activated by the precise angles of eyes.
