“Three photographic workshops about Asch in two decades brought up respectful amount of comparative documentary collections. A true blessing for researchers in the means of documentary and catalogue-oriented activities. For it was this work, iniciated by Zbyněk Illek and Josef Borsík 20 years ago, that best the documentary models of Swedish museums so admired by us. Asch regional documentary model have become equal in the volume of collections with widely known European museums.

And the third Asch workshop from 2008 has created an interesting issue. Original and individualistic approach of the photographers opens questions of regional identity in the world of people and things. For this region, once a specific Asch foreland, it is extremely uneasy. Finished collections of the third meeting create a strange, expressive mathematic context in line with the two previous projects. The proper understanding of this collection of documentary is going to be a tough job even after delicately describing and eviding the lot. This photographic notes would require more than decyphering banalities, if the researcher wants to keep up with the level of the photographers that let themselves get overcame with this region.
