Retrospective exhibition of Italian photographer. His black and white works continue in minimalist tradition in photography.

Giuliano Collini is one of the authors who is adhering to the traditional photographic concepts. His photographs, however, are not quite traditional. Even he works mainly with black and white scales, his works are full of shades that support our imagination. His black and white stylization fully corresponds with the stylization of the content. The Authors reflection of reality goes to the minimalist expression and in some photos gets up in abstraction.
   Very carefully chosen motifs of landscapes, urban landscape, but also the landscape detail are the result of knowledge his environment, patience while waiting for the perfect light and the natural capability of the composing the individual elements in the image. A very important component of his photographs is time. Time ensuing few seconds or minutes, time shifting us from the past through the present into the future. Passing time creates stylized moving water, clouds and light to create a new quality displayed in a wide range of grays. We find ourselves in a dreamy way, if you want abstracted reality.
   The images are characterized by a certain fragility and evoke a sense of peace and tranquility. Magical paintings of landscapes remind us of some magic studio scenes of Fellini’s Amarcord .
